Sury’s career in fashion has been proudly non-linear – shaped by curiosity, collaboration, and a belief that creativity and responsibility can coexist. With over 30 years in the industry, she has worked with leading brands including ME+EM, Radley, Seasalt Cornwall, Monsoon, and Debenhams, creating collections that are both commercially successful and ethically grounded.
Originally from London and now based in Cornwall, Sury collaborates digitally with clients to design future-focused collections that stay true to brand identity and values. Her expertise lies in trend forecasting and colour direction, guided by a commitment to positive impact.
Alongside her design work, Sury is a passionate mentor and educator, having taught at Norwich University of the Arts and Colchester School of Art and delivered sustainable fashion workshops at Nottingham Trent University.
In 2007 she joined the pioneering ethical start-up ADILI, working directly with small producers in India and Nepal – from visiting cotton fields in Gujarat to developing organic, handcrafted womenswear. Later, in 2017, she was recruited by The British Council alongside Safia Minney, and Toby Meadows to mentor emerging designers in Pakistan, culminating in their showcase at London Fashion Week.
